China Glaze: When Stars Collide and Galactic Grey

Hello! Hope you all had a good week! Mine was pretty uneventful, mostly work. Today I have for your my swatches of some of the polishes from the Hologlam Collection. This is a very anticipated collection. It's full of 12 holographic colors. Today I only have 2, but they all look gorgeous. I'm not a fan of pink and couldn't buy them all so I only got the first couple on my list of "most wanted." The two I have for you today are Galatic Grey and When Stars Collide.

This post is very picture heavy. The polish was just too pretty! All pictures are taken under a lamp, indoors.

Galatic Grey is a dark charcoal grey holo. I don't like black-looking polishes but this type, with a little bit of something extra, I LOVE.

When Stars Collide is my favorite of the collection. It's a deep red-purple holo and I think the color is just so unique compared to the usual color selection I've seen for holographic polish. Usually they're light purple/lilac so the deep colors are really getting me with this collection!

I don't know if maybe I'm just too new to the blogging and nail polish world, but I had absolutely ZERO issues with application or formula on these. This is three and two coats respectively. I didn't have any issues at all with balding or dragging, and the dry time was very fast. Minimal cleanup was necessary.

I also plan on getting the olive green from this collection as well as the dark blue! The colors are just not found anywhere else yet! What are your favorites?

A England: Princess Sabra

Hello all! Just a quick post today featuring one of my favorite holos. This is Princess Sabra. It's a super unique color. I would call it a light, olive-green holo.

The formula is beautiful. I probably could have done a 3rd coat on a few nails but I was rushing and so this is two costs. For a holographic polish, that's a dream. The dry time is fast and there was no issue with dragging or bald spots!

The last pic is with flash.

From Instagram

Hey all! I'm just stopping in to post a quick notd from Instagram. I used Picture Polish's White Wedding as the base but then did some cleaning and ruined it. Quick fix: Jelly Sammich!! The glitter is OPI's The Living Daylights and I added a coat of Barre My Soul for the Sammich effect.

It worked. Haha. Can't tell I messed up the original mani, except for that this is really messy.

Sinful Colors: Bombshell

Hello! Hope everyone had a good Friday! It's my day off so I spent mine grocery shopping, cleaning, and cooking. Today's polish is Sinful Colors Bombshell. I found this at Walgreens in a "Limited Edition" stand. We usually don't get new Sinful Colors displays in my area so I stopped and looked at it. It was mostly glitters and all I picked up was Bombshell, a seafoam-y green glitter.

I thought this would be a little more opaque, which is my only disappointment. It isn't and I ended up layering  2 coats of Bombshell over Zoya Neely from my last post, since I was already wearing it! It's pretty but didn't exactly WOW me. If you like glitter though, for $2.99 I would pick this up!!

Zoya Neely

Hello again! As my second installment from Zoya's Lovely collection, I have the green polish called Neely. The formula on this gave me some issues; I found it to be a bit watery. Other than that, I really like this polish. I'm a sucker for greens, and this is no exception. Unlike Julie, in my last post, this has no shimmer and is a straight creme polish.

I love it! All pictures are at 3 coats.

Zoya Julie

Hey guys! Sorry for the short hiatus. I'm moving into a new apartment and have been focusing on that. I'm mostly settled and just had a mini swatch-a-thon so I have some posts lined up for the next week at least! These next couple will feature colors from Zoya's Lovely collection for Spring 2013. Today I have the purple from the collection: Julie. This is a light pink-purple with shimmer it in. Very pretty. The swatch here is 3 coats and I found the formula very easy to work with.

Nerdlacquer: Don't Blink

Hey all! Hope is well! Today I have a polish for you that ranks as one of my all time favorites. This is Don't Blink by Nerdlacquer. Nerdlacquer was an indie brand that had, as their name implies, nerd-based polishes. This one is named after Doctor Who (aka The Best Show Ever) haha! Just kidding on the second part there. Anyway, this one is named after a character called the weeping angels. If you aren't familiar with the show, they are statues that only move when no one is looking at the them. Pretty scary! This polish is intended to look like stone with the milky-grey base, silver and black micro glitter, and some small/medium hex glitter. I think the effect is awesome and pulled off flawlessly!

Unfortunately, Nerdlacquer is no longer making polish so I have to be happy with my one bottle of Don't Blink.
